Dr. Majid Khedmati (1988 - 2025)
Member of Faculty of Industrial Engineering (2016 - 2025)
After joining the Faculty of Industrial Engineering at Sharif University of Technology as a faculty member in 2016 (1395 SH), Dr. Khedmati made a profound impact through teaching a wide range of rigorous courses such as statistics, data mining, and time series analysis. He educated numerous students and rendered valuable academic services to the faculty.On the research front, his numerous publications in internationally indexed journals established him as a prominent and promising young scholar in the field of Industrial Engineering in Iran. In addition to his teaching and research, Dr. Khedmati actively contributed to the faculty’s administrative responsibilities. Over the years, he served as the Vice Dean for Student Affairs and Graduate Studies. At the university level, he was also the editor-in-chief of the Industrial Engineering section of the Scientia Iranica journal. Dr. Khedmati was a composed, ethical, and meticulous individual, known for blending discipline and diligence with a deep sense of responsibility. He was consistently committed to the advancement and improvement of the faculty.His memory will forever remain in our hearts.

Dr. Mohammad Hadi Chamran (1944 - 2024)
Member of Faculty of Industrial Engineering (1969 - 2024)
With more than five decades of dedicated teaching at Sharif University of Technology, Dr. Chamran holds a special place in the hearts of all graduates of the Faculty of Industrial Engineering. He is rightfully regarded as a founding figure of the discipline in Iran. In 1968 (1347 SH), alongside the late Dr. Safaieh, he prepared the first official course syllabus and curriculum for the Industrial Engineering program, thus playing a foundational role in establishing the field in the country. Beyond his remarkable academic expertise and mastery of subject matter, Dr. Chamran was deeply respected for his noble character, humility, and unwavering ethical standards. His grace, humility, and strong commitment to professional and moral values made him a role model for students and colleagues alike. From 1999 to 2004 (1378–1383 SH), he served as the Dean of the Faculty of Industrial Engineering. His areas of teaching and academic interest included human resource management, microeconomics and macroeconomics, compensation system design, incentive and reward systems, general management, and organizational structure. Dr. Chamran’s memory will undoubtedly live on in our hearts and in the legacy he left behind within our academic community.

Dr. Hashem Mahlooji (1948 - 2023)

In fond remembrance of Professor Hashem Mahlooji, a shining beacon of knowledge and dedication at Industrial Engineering department. His profound expertise in fields such as statistics, probability, and simulation left an indelible mark on the academic landscape. Dr. Mahlooji's unwavering commitment to excellence was exemplified during his tenure as the Dean of Industrial Engineering department from 1975 to 1979. His enduring legacy, characterized by his passion for teaching and research, will forever be cherished within our academic community. Professor Mahlooji's contributions to the advancement of knowledge and the nurturing of young minds will continue to inspire generations to come. His memory will always hold a special place in our hearts and serve as a testament to the impact one can make in the pursuit of wisdom and education.

Engineer Zhubin Ghayor (1953 - 2021)
Member of Faculty of Industrial Engineering (1975 - 2021)
Zhubin Ghayor was an outstanding instructor of the Industrial Engineering department. The field of his educational & research activities was engineering economics and human factors engineering (ergonomics). He was the education deputy of the IE department for many years, becoming a main contributor to educational regulations and policies at the university level, whilst also playing a significant role in the planning and design of undergraduate courses. Establishing and developing the IE department's Ergonomics Laboratory is one of his enduring legacies.

Dr. Mohammad Reza Safaiyeh (1939 - 2014)
Member of Faculty of Industrial Engineering (1969 - 2014)
Dr. Mohammad Reza Safaiyeh, full professor of Industrial Engineering, expert in the field of production methods, and evaluation and feasibility of industrial projects, was one of the founders of Sharif University's Industrial Engineering department. He was chosen as the first elected president of the IE department, later becoming the financial and administrative vice-president of Sharif University. His role in the design, creation and development of the IE department's main building had a lasting impact on the progress of the department's scientific and research programs. Dr. Safaiyeh made outstanding contributions in training generations of IE students and carrying out industrial projects. He had a cheerful and cooperative spirit, and had good public relations with all levels of the university.
